Policies and important information.
How we handle your information, what you are agreeing to when you buy, and what to read before you start training.
Everest Personal Training provides fitness coaching and human performance services in Christchurch and Rolleston, and online. In these policies, "we", "us" and "Everest" mean Everest Personal Training.

Privacy policy
We collect as little as we can, we do not sell it, and we do not track you around the internet. This policy explains what we do collect and what you can do about it. It follows the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
We only collect personal information that you give us:
- When you send an enquiry: your name, email address, the kind of enquiry it is, your organisation if you tell us, and whatever you write in the message.
- When you register interest in EMPOWER: your name, email address, phone number, location, your role (parent, school, club and so on), your organisation if you give one, and your message.
- When you ask the programme finder to email you your match: your first name, your email address, and the four answers you gave it: your goal, your level, the kind of support you want, and who the training is for.
- When you become a client: what we need to coach you safely and bill you. That includes your training history and goals, a health and readiness questionnaire, and any measurements or body composition results we record with you.
With any enquiry we also record which link brought you to the site and which page you arrived on, for example that you came from a particular post or newsletter. That comes from the link you clicked, not from watching you. It tells us which of our own posts and emails are useful, and it is kept only for as long as the enquiry is.
The only thing collected automatically is anonymous, aggregate usage data: which page was viewed, roughly where the visit came from, the country, and the type of device and browser. It uses no cookies, it does not identify you, and it is never combined with anything else to work out who you are. See Cookies and analytics below.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry, to coach you safely and well, to run your programme and payments, and to keep the records a coaching business has to keep. We use it for the purpose you gave it to us for, and not for anything else.
We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it, and you can stop it at any time by replying and saying so.
Who else sees it
- Our coaching app. Programming, check-ins and subscription billing run through Trainerize. If you buy a weekly programme, your account and payment details are held by Trainerize and their payment provider, not by us. We never see or store your full card details.
- Payment for App Portal Access. The one-off App Portal Access fee is taken through a Stripe payment link. Stripe processes your card details and holds them under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/nz/privacy. We never see or store your full card details.
- Our website host. This site is hosted by Vercel, which processes requests to serve pages and keeps short-term technical logs, including IP addresses, as any web host does. Vercel also provides the aggregate analytics described below.
- Our form delivery. A message you send through a form on this site is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form-to-email service. They pass the message on and do not use it for anything else. Their privacy policy is at web3forms.com/privacy.
- Health professionals, only where you ask us to, or where we are referring you on and you have agreed to it.
Some of these providers are based overseas, so your information may be stored outside New Zealand. Beyond them, we do not share your personal information, and we do not sell, rent or trade it in any circumstances.
Health information
Health and readiness information, injury history and body composition results are sensitive, and we treat them that way. We collect them only where they change how we coach you, we keep them to the people who need them to do that, and we do not pass them to anyone else without your consent, unless we genuinely believe someone is at risk of serious harm.
Children and young people
The forms on this website are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site. Where a young person takes part in EMPOWER or another youth programme, we collect their information through their parent or caregiver, with consent, and we hold it only as long as the programme and our safeguarding obligations require.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become client relationships are kept only while they are useful, then deleted. Client records are kept while you train with us and for a period afterwards, so we can meet our tax, insurance and professional obligations, and so your history is there if you come back. We do not keep information we no longer have a reason to hold.
Keeping it safe
We use reputable providers, limit access to the people who need it, and keep our accounts protected. No system is perfectly secure, but we take practical steps to protect what you give us, and we will tell you promptly if something goes wrong in a way that affects you.
Seeing it, correcting it, or complaining about it
Under the Privacy Act you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Email jared@everest-pt.com and we will respond within 20 working days. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and we will try to put it right. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Terms of purchase
These terms apply when you buy a programme, a session or a service from us. Current pricing is shown at checkout or confirmed during your enquiry, in New Zealand dollars, before you pay.
Weekly programmes
EVEREST365, Everest Personal and Everest Premium are weekly subscriptions, billed weekly in advance. Each runs in six-week blocks, which is the minimum term. To cancel, give us two weeks' notice before your next six-week block begins: your access, and your billing, continue until that notice period ends. EVEREST365 and Everest Personal are billed through Trainerize. How Everest Premium is billed is confirmed in writing before you pay.
EVEREST365, Everest Personal and Everest Premium also each carry a one-off $30 App Portal Access fee, charged once and not weekly, separate from any programme, paid by card through Stripe. For EVEREST365 and Everest Personal your weekly subscription is then set up in Trainerize; for Everest Premium we contact you personally afterwards to set it up. If you have a promotion code, you enter it at checkout.
Everest Premium includes everything in Everest Personal, plus a body scan at the start of each six-week block and a weekly 30-minute check-in call with your coach. How calls are scheduled, and what happens if one is missed or needs to be moved, is confirmed when you start.
Sessions, scans and one-off services
One-to-one sessions, body scans and meal planning are paid per booking, except where a body scan is included in Everest Premium. If you need to move or cancel a booked session, please give us at least 24 hours' notice so the time can go to someone else. A session cancelled with less notice, or missed without any, may be treated as used. We apply judgement here: illness and emergencies happen, and we would rather you rested than trained.
Concession cards are paid up front and are for the person who bought them.
Proposal-based work
Everest Elite, Everest Workforce and EMPOWER engagements are enquiry or proposal-based, scoped and quoted individually unless otherwise confirmed. What is included, what it costs and how it is invoiced are set out in the written proposal for that engagement, and that proposal takes precedence over this page wherever the two differ.
Changes to prices
We can change our prices. We will tell you before a change affects a subscription you already hold, so you can decide whether to continue.
Your rights as a consumer
If you are buying as a consumer, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 give you rights that we cannot limit or exclude, and nothing on this page tries to. If a service we provide is not delivered with reasonable care and skill, tell us and we will put it right.
Where the agreement sits
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and New Zealand courts deal with any dispute about them.
Health & exercise disclaimer
Everest provides fitness coaching and human performance services. This is not clinical healthcare, and nothing on this website or in our coaching is medical advice.
Exercise carries risk, including injury. Before starting new training, particularly if you have a health condition or an injury, are pregnant, or have not trained in a long time, talk to a doctor or an appropriate health professional. If something hurts, stop.
We ask about your health before you start training with us, and we rely on what you tell us being accurate and current. Please tell us when something changes.
Body composition scans and measurements exist to track training progress. They are not a diagnosis and they are not a substitute for medical assessment.
We work alongside health professionals rather than in place of them, and we refer people on when something sits outside what we should be handling.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies. It carries no advertising tags, no tracking pixels and no session recording, and it does not build a profile of you. There is no consent banner here because there is nothing to consent to.
We do measure how the site is used, because we need to know which pages help people and which do not. That is Vercel Web Analytics, and it is cookieless. It records which page was viewed, where the visit came from, the country, and the type of device and browser. To count repeat visits without storing your IP address, it turns each request into a one-way hash that is thrown away and regenerated every day, so a visitor cannot be followed from one day to the next, let alone across other websites.
One thing is kept in your browser: if you arrive through a tagged link, the site notes which link it was, in session storage. It is erased when you close the tab, it is never read on a later visit, and it is sent to us only if you choose to submit a form, at which point it arrives attached to your enquiry, as described above. It is not a cookie, it identifies nobody, and a visitor who never fills in a form never sends it anywhere.
Every font, icon, image, script and stylesheet, analytics included, is served from our own domain. Loading a page here does not tell any third party that you visited.
Two ordinary exceptions are worth naming. Our host keeps short-term technical logs of requests, as described above. And if you follow a link away from this site (to our coaching app, a review profile, or an ambassador brand), that destination has its own policies and its own cookies, which we do not control.
Consent & content
Reviews on this site are real, published as the people who wrote them left them on our Google Business Profile. We do not write, reword or invent testimonials.
Photographs, case studies and partner names appear only with permission. Where a young person is involved, we get consent from their parent or caregiver, and we do not publish identifying detail about a child without it.
If you have given consent and want to withdraw it, email jared@everest-pt.com and we will take the content down from our own channels.
Everything else
The words, images, branding and programme material on this site belong to Everest. You are welcome to link to us; please ask before republishing our material.
We update these policies as the business changes. This version was published on 27 September 2026.
